So I did say that I would be slowing down this blog–that does not mean I am stopping! I am planning a short roadtrip/shopping trip with my 3 best friends at the end of the month to the U.S. so we can stock up on some summer essentials. Thus, I am beginning my online canvas of what I have to look for in the stores! One of the stores I ALWAYS hit up while on the other side of the trees is Forever 21. It’s been a favorite store of mine way before H&M came to Canada and I am looking forward to it opening up in Vancouver soon! So here are some of my picks!

So I don’t know about the rest of you but I love my room. My boyfriend and his friend installed hardwood laminate for my floor (it was ugly carpet before). I also only have 3 pieces of furniture in my room–my bed, bookcase and sidetable. There aren’t many pieces in my room because I like leaving some room so I can dance–yes, I’m serious. Now, one of the things that bugs me is that my parents insist the walls stay white. How can I fix this problem? Etsy to the rescue!

So I work hella part time at Hollister and at certain times a year we get a better discount than normal so that we can get the proper seasonal outfits. They list specific items that you can choose (and I mean specific–This tank top in ____color). So since summer is coming up they list some shorts you can get! I was excited because it’s summer and I love shorts because well, I’m short! Apparently however, we are not allowed to wear shorts or skirts to work! Only jeans!!! SAY WHAT???? I guess I understand because some girls might take it too extreme and have their booty’s hanging out or show their cooch ala celebrity style (cuz we all know hollister shorts and skirts are SHORT) but I think they could just say that instead of banning it for the rest of us!

Oh and I am also choked that I have to wait another few weeks for gossip girl????? They made us wait over a month for TWO new episodes and now we have to wait again? NO!

So that is just my short rant of the day.

So as a really tiny girl with an older brother who influenced her, I find myself lusting over some guys clothing/accessories. I don’t know why but sometimes I wish I was a guy so I could get some super cool swag and not have to think about dressing up. I am definitely a girl that loves living in jeans and a tee (thanks Married to the MOB and Hellz Bellz for the great cheeky t-shirts you guys always put out every season!) and so I know that I would definitely fit in as a guy. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind dressing up every so often but sometimes, most of the time really, I just love throwing on some comfy jeans, a t-shirt, a hoodie and jump into some sneakers–nike dunk lows or jordan 1s because they’re just such comfortable items. So here is an outfit I would rock if I were a guy! Oh and this post was inspired by my friend Mandy Candy who wrote a post on Ciara’s song and relationships so check mama out!

Okay I don’t know why I like this jacket but I do. It is by Cross Colours and its called “The Dope Style Jacket”. Its description on Karmaloop?

The Dope Style Jacket is part of the Michael Jackson line, enough said. Michael’s always been dope. Oh yeah, I wasn’t being serious about the Michael Jackson line thing.. but I’m dead ass about him being dope. Don’t act like ya ass didn’t get scared by the Thriller video when you were younger..

You’ve got to be kidding me! How could I not like this with a reference to MJ??? And the shoulders from the back view makes me think of Gareth Pugh just a little bit because of the structure you can see in the shoulders. (Get it via Karmaloop)

LRG is one of the brands that I like to buy t-shirts from for my guy friends when they got a birthday or other shit going on. I happen to also like having a something to tie my outfits together and I think as a guy I’d do the same thing. Thus, the pink would tie in with the sneakers! (Cop it at Karmaloop! Now the hard part for me as a girl is buying jeans. I’m short and pretty skinny and jeans are usually too big for me. If I were a boy hopefully I’d be taller! The question is: would I be a skinny jean kinda guy or not? I figure I’d compromise on this one. Definitely would want space for my junk if I were a guy because even as a girl I have a thing for comfy jeans (boyfriend jeans for my relaxing days!) yet I like how skinny jeans can be dressy. So we all saw the ode to Dr. Seuss a little while back that Google did with their name. Today I recognized the signature caterpillar that I grew up with illustrated by Eric Carle! I read The Very Hungry Caterpillar back when I was a kid as well as other books he wrote! So thanks again Google for adding a lil joy to our days!

I used to love Chris Brown. Now… not so much. (I do admit that I try and ignore the stuff that he did when I listen to his songs cuz his voice is smooth..) I wish you all the luck in your anger management classes Chris and hope that you really do learn your lesson that hitting a woman is never right! Anyways here are 3 upcoming hiphop and r&b artists I think that we should look out for:

I don’t know about you guys but I have and still watch Degrassi: The Next Generation. Aubrey Drake Graham isn’t in the show on a regular basis anymore, however, I used to love him in the show and he also raps and is good at it might I add! The Cool Kids! Hell yes! The first song I heard by them was A Little Bit Cooler and I loved their old school touches in their flow.
